Very useful even if you are not an streamer
It is a versatile and powerful tool that goes beyond streaming. It’s an excellent choice for non-streamers looking to enhance their productivity and creative workflows.1- I used to keep an eye on my CPU and GPU Temperature, GPU/CPU Load, and CPU Usage, so if my PC is getting pretty hot, I could turn on the AC and bring down the temperature.2- I can use the discord setting to Mute my mic or Deaf myself as well as to share my screen and join different channels with just one touch, also a plus with the soundboard you can have your favorite ones without the need to look for them inside the discord app.3- For Zoom meetings, Webex meetings, etc… I have all the buttons set up so I can easily share my screen, mute my mic, view the members inside the meeting, the chat, all in a couple of touch.4- I can access my games directly with just one touch like my Steam games, GamePass, Battlenet, Epic, and GOG.5- I can make a profile when I’m developing a program to take actions that will take me many steps to reach with one click.Conclusion: The Elgato Stream Deck MK.2 is a fantastic tool for non-streamers who want to streamline their workflows and boost productivity. Worth it
Definitely pricey but if you can grab it discounted, it’s a solid purchase. The stream deck makes life so much easier and can be used for a variety of things other than streaming. It connects to the stream deck software seamlessly and you can begin customizing the layout right away. The only problem I have is that the device tends to get pushed around my table easily just from pressing the keys but it’s manageable. In all honesty, the stream deck can genuinely be a useful tool in your setup while adding professionalism and productivity to your workflow.

Works Well
To start off, I do not use this to stream. Instead I use it for hot keys for music, and games like Helldivers 2 or American Truck Simulator. I also use it to power my computer off and open certain games or programs, easy to use, value is there if it’s something you’ll use, sized just right but if you are at an angle it may look funny, quality is good I like the removable cable and it’s compatible with a lot of programs on the plugins site for elgato and they download pretty fast.

Anything made by Elgato brings a quality and usefulness to the table. I have had my Stream Deck for many years as I owed the Mark 1 and bought the Mark 2 for two clients of mine. LOVE these little boards and will always be a big fan of their capabilities and usefulness in many different forms that can go far beyond the obvious streaming capabilities.

Great tech – but not just for streamers!
First, I’d like to say that while this is primarily for Windows, it can and does work in Linux.I have it set on my desk near my trackball, and with a quick jab of a button, I can bring up my browser, turn on some music, open up a file folder, mute my mic in Discord, and tons more things.Literally, it’s like a physical shortcut deck, and media controller, and program editor, and so much more – in one small device.The most powerful feature really, is the fact you can set one key that jumps you forward or backward one page – of the streamdeck.That means instead of only having 15 programmable keys, you have 14 on the first page, plus 13 on each following page, and as many pages as you can handle. I have mine set with 10. That’s 131 customizable buttons on a “15-key streamdeck”I would be shocked if someone needed more, but if you did, it’s expandable too.If you’re thinking about getting it for something other than streaming, stop thinking and start buying. It’ll do what you’re wanting and a lot more.If you *are* a streamer and don’t have this yet, why? This is a total game changer for streamers. Just buy it already. It’s worth every penny.

Lo compré con la idea de usarlo para facilitar mi grabación de videos y me encontré usándolo para muchisimas cosas mas, controlar mis luces hue, monitorear mi uso de la PC, cambiar mis entradas de los monitores, accesos directos y muchisimas cosas mas, después de varios meses de uso puedo decir que es una muy útil adición a mi escritorio, mas que muchas herramientas que se usan para una sola cosa el stream deck puede ser realmente últil para cualquier persona, el software está súper bien hecho y fácil de usar y es muy buen precio costo/beneficio para todo lo que te da. Súper recomendado.
