A well rounded budget product
Like:-Simple design and it has the filters that are required for this price point and no unnecessary complications.- Ergonomic water dispenser and taste of water is apt for the price point.-Installation engineer Mr. Prem Krishnan was meticulous in his approach and explained things clearly. I’d rate 5 stars for his installation service.- Service around installation was also great and was completed in the following day post contacting customer service being in a tier two city in Kerala. I believe that shows the presence of their strong service network.-Within one month of usage, I can say that the service is better than 20k plus priced Aquaguard smart+ purifier that I had earlier at my home.Dislikes:Why I rated 4 star instead of 5 for the whole product.- The sensor float for water level indicator within the storage tank failed the very 3rd day post installation and I think V-Guard needs improve on QC. This is a bad experience for any customer, while the service engineer did tell me that it’s of rare occurrence and is 2nd case that he has handled in his relatively new career with V-Guard.-black Color is a scratch magnet and gives a look of an used product though it was intact with plastic out covers and so on.- While I tried to contact V-Guard customer service about the water not being dispensed, through their website I got a confirmation message displayed on the computer, however I lost a day waiting for them to fix the issue. Later when I contacted the service Center they mentioned not having received any complaint from my side. It’s an awful experience for a customer and the organisation needs to put in efforts to improve their website maintenance and input form stability.Overall a good product for the price to purify water from 200ppm to 40ppmUpdate after 1year usage:Still a great product with very low maintenance and phenomenal service, Mr. Prem Krishnan continues to deliver highest levels of customer service even though I’m no longer a new customer anymore. Kudos to him for his efforts to maintain high levels of quality and his meticulous work. He ensures that he explains nuances while adhering to company guidelines. I have been apprehensive of AMC of reputed organisation but V-Guard proved to be different and I have opted for the same now since this service personnel has been exceptional.

Poor service in Chennai, using for 1+ years
I’m writing this review after using it for more than 1 year. First of all the product is a good product for the price but their service is poor in Chennai.Problems I faced.1. Apart from external sediment filter V guard offers if the product is in warranty they are giving the free replacement for the filters, but people from the service centre try to manipulate you and ask you to buy their AMC which cost half of their product price in order to change the filters. I showed the product details in Amazon which clearly says filters replacement if the product is under warranty.2. This is even worst when compare to the previous one. It was 2 months before the product warranty expires the water taste got worse and TDS level was high. I booked an appointment for service and the service person told the post carbon filter is dead you need to replace it so opt for AMC we will change it. I said the product is still in warranty replace the filter, then he replaced the filter but despite of that the water taste haven’t changed and TDS was also the same. This time also the service person came with the mindset of selling me the AMC not fixing the product which is under warranty did opened the box checked whether is water is flowing properly then he left by saying the water taste will change and TDS will come down but nothing got changed.3. Since the problem still exists I booked service request but each time the service centre person will mark it as issue fixed and close the ticket without visiting my house.4. Then I wrote and email to the waterpurifier@vguard.in which directly reaches V guard. This time the service person came and done a terrible thing in order to get the taste he connected the output directly to RO membrane and there is no filters in between 🤦. This I came to know after two months when I opened the box myself to check to clean it.I might have opted for AMC if the service was good in warrenty period. There is now way you will be talking to official v guard person, the service process is completely third party.Don’t go for V guard water purifiers if you are in Chennai.If you cannot fix the issue in warranty how you can expect yours customers will choose AMC for poor service.If you are not in Chennai you may consider buying it but don’t buy it if you are in Chennai.
